High Contrast Train Ride

It's something I've seen before and have admired in passing - and as I planned my latest trip to Chicago, I knew I wanted to be ready with camera in hand. The industrial landscapes outside my window seat on the train, combined with the morning overcast did not disappoint. Massive structures were playing hide-n-seek through the fog. All the environmental elements created a strong layered effect, making some areas seem like they went on forever. This gave me the opportunity to process them with an extra dose of contrast, creating these moody almost silver feeling images. Although many of these buildings and structures are still in use today, the processing may suggest a different story - giving the feeling that they are abandoned and from days gone by.
