Torn Allegiance

I really enjoy being on the sidelines for these basketball games. I’ve always enjoyed the game and while I never played for my school, Friday night basketball was a big part of my high school experience at Union. The school and gym have been virtually untouched so it brings me back just parking my car and walking in.

This particular game represented a torn allegiance for me: the Union alum and dad of a Jenison student. I decided for this game, I would try to cover both teams. It turned into a very competitive game with Jenison hanging in there and giving Union one heck of a game. It was pretty exciting and provided me lots of opportunities to capture great action moments from both teams. While it was a fun challenge, I think keeping your eyes on one team is a lot less stressful. Lucky for me the next game presents no conflicts- so I can proudly say, Go Red Hawks!
